New Alfa Romeo Giulietta Facelift
The Giulietta Sport Is A New Alfa Romeo That Isn't Very Fast
The ageing Giulietta has been given a new 'Sport' trim, but don't expect sporty performance

You'd be forgiven for forgetting Alfa Romeo still sells the Giulietta. It was - after all - launched when VW was still making the Mk6 Golf, and enough time has elapsed since then for Wolfburg to make a new version and give it a facelift.
The arrival of the Giulia and Stelvio - both of which sit on Alfa Romeo's own platform, not a Fiat hand-me-down - doesn't exactly help the Giulietta's case, but the hatchback is sticking around for now. In fact, it's just had a little tweak, thanks to this new Sport trim.

It certainly looks good. We have 17-inch teledial wheels, side skirts, red accents for the front splitter and rear diffuser, and a bigger exhaust. You can have it all finished in Misano Blue, which was previously only available for the 236bhp Veloce.
On the inside you'll find a dark headlining, a leather steering wheel, climate control, cruise control and FCA's UconnectTM infotainment system.

If you were thinking it might have some sporty performance to go along with the livelier looks, you're going to be disappointed: it's available only with a 118bhp 1.4-litre turbo petrol engine, or a 118bhp 1.6-litre diesel engine. The former takes 9.4 seconds to get from 0-62mph, while the diesel requires 10 seconds to dispatch the benchmark sprint. Ah.
Both versions are available now, with the petrol starting at £20,965 and the diesel £22,230.
